Brenda is a multi-disciplinary artist whose style is inspired by nostalgic, dreamy and surreal aesthetics transporting the viewer to a place that feels both fantastical and familiar. Brenda’s latest work has placed Mexican iconography at the forefront paying homage to Frida Kahlo, the Mexican desert landscape and Alebrije folk art. Previous murals have been for community businesses in South Central, Long Beach and Los Angeles. In addition to working as a muralist Brenda also showcases her art in galleries both in LA and Orange County occasionally showing work outside the area. Most notably her painting “Healing Honey Temple” was part of the South Gate Museum 2022 Show “Cuidate” and was chosen 3rd place for best of show by the community of South Gate. Brenda is currently a resident artist at The Hive Gallery and Studios in DTLA.
