bio

Debbie Ortiz is a 1st generation Latina, born in Los Angeles, with a deep connection to her culture. Debbie is an Art Manager, producer, and all-around creative mind with a passion for accessibility in art. She received her bachelor of arts at California State University, Fullerton with an emphasis in directing. Since then she has worked at countless theaters and worked as a production and development coordinator at the Lineage Performing Art Center where she developed programming for many programs including their Dia de Los Muertos Celebration. Debbie now sits on the board at the Lineage Performing Art Center and is a member/producer/ and writer with the Ensemble Shakespeare. She is also an Arts Associate for the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, Public Art Division, where she manages public art projects that you see in the City of Los Angeles.
