Rocio G Montiel ("RGM"), is a Mexican artist currently based in Los Angeles, California. Passionate about art, her art translates stories, feelings, and emotions into compositions using multiple patterns and organic movements, full texture, and detail.

 

Her techniques include acrylic paints, pencil, charcoal, and ink. She's always experimenting and trying new techniques and styles to add to her art; therefore, her portfolio is always evolving. Now, she is creating a series of digital artworks, trying different styles and mediums making her portfolio diverse and unique.

 

In 2020, she began her studies in Fine Arts at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles in the Professional Certificate Program and started her journey as an artist in May 2020.

 

Her art has been selected for several juried physical and online exhibitions in the United States (Arizona, California, and New York) and internationally in London, Berlin and Greece. She was also invited as a speaker at the First Binational Meeting of Women Visual Artists in Baja California in 2021, she's a member of the Los Angeles Art Association (LAAA) since August 2020 and, she was selected as the Grand Prize Winner of the New York International Fine Arts Competition in 2021.

Rocio G. Montiel ("RGM") es una artista mexicana actualmente radicada en Los Ángeles, California. Apasionada por el arte, su obra traduce historias, sentimientos y emociones en composiciones que utilizan múltiples patrones y movimientos orgánicos, llenos de textura y detalle.

Sus técnicas incluyen pinturas acrílicas, lápiz, carboncillo y tinta. Siempre está experimentando y probando nuevas técnicas y estilos para enriquecer su arte; por lo tanto, su portafolio está en constante evolución. Actualmente, está creando una serie de obras de arte digitales, explorando diferentes estilos y medios, lo que hace que su portafolio sea diverso y único.

En 2020, comenzó sus estudios en Bellas Artes en el Otis College of Art and Design en Los Ángeles dentro del Programa de Certificado Profesional e inició su trayectoria como artista en mayo de 2020.

Su obra ha sido seleccionada para varias exposiciones físicas y en línea en Estados Unidos (Arizona, California y Nueva York) e internacionalmente en Londres, Berlín y Grecia. También fue invitada como ponente en el Primer Encuentro Binacional de Mujeres Artistas Visuales en Baja California en 2021, es miembro de la Los Angeles Art Association (LAAA) desde agosto de 2020, y fue seleccionada como la Ganadora del Gran Premio del Concurso Internacional de Bellas Artes de Nueva York en 2021.
