WHAT: Santiago Nieto a 62 year old radio personality with a career spanning more than 4 decades will be walking for the third year from Los Angeles to Bakersfield, a total of 150 miles in 5 days. A sleeping bag will be the only source of shelter he will have for the night to regain his energy for the next day.
La Caminata “Salvando Vidas” (Saving Lives Walk) will begin at the Mexican Consulate in Los Angeles and will end at Cirugia Sin Fronteras Headquarters located in Bakersfield, CA. Many personalities from the entertainment, sports, politics, business and community world have joined this incredible journey to raise funds and to bring awareness to those who are uninsured and underserved, regardles of their legal status.
